Strawberry Jam!

Something my kids love is strawberry freezer jam. They really like it on top of french toast with cool whip.
Farmer's was having a great deal on strawberries so I bought 6 and it made 2 quarts, 7 pints and 3 half pints. It was way easy. This is 4 batches, and it only took 1 hour to make.

Hike #1
Water Canyon

I carried Brynlee all the way up and all the way back down. She actually complained about being carried! The next day when my calves were on fire I wished she would have been the one carrying me!




This is my sister Bridgette. She is in such great shape! Now she wants to make that hike every week! No, it is not hereditary the insanity stops with her.



Cole loves the outdoors! After that big hike he played around in the water trying to catch those bugs that skate on top of the water. He caught like 30. I am glad they had to live there to take care of the water, or at least that is what I told him.



This is my friend Megan. I talked her into going on the hike with us! I kind of don't remember it being that long and steep, and she ended up carrying 2 kids down the mountain. Ya know, now that I am thinking about it I haven't heard from her since!


Brynlee got so hot baking in the sun that one capri sun was not enough. She drank 2 whole ones, and then wanted to play in the ice cold water. First my mom was worried she was so hot. Then my dad took over and was worried she was freezing!



Kailin and I at the top of the hike! It has a waterfall just big enough to cool off by before you head back down the mountain.

We all headed back to Grandma's for ice cream! I have been doing so good at being good that I only had 3. I know it is a weakness.

Spring break is here!

The kids are out of school AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Actually I am excited. I have some VERY COOL friends that have come up with all sorts of fun ideas to keep the kids busy and me sane. Yesterday we went to a park in Coral Canyon that was great for both the little kids and the bigger ones! After Shane and I went shopping for shelves so we can finally organize the garage. Then off the the city park for some friendly kick ball!

This is Slatin. No, he is not smiling! He asked to be spun on this pole thing. Of course, I wanted to be a good person and help. Poor Slatin got sick and did not enjoy the rest of his time there. Sorry buddy! In my defense I did stop it when his eyes started to roll in the back of his head!

Day one of Spring Break is under my belt. Now lets see if we can make it two!

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer......

Some people think I am crazy. I have to say I love being a soccer Mom! The running around with all the kids going from game to game. I have 3 kids playing and then Brigham's 2(my brother). Needless to say we are there from start to finish! It has been really cold. The little ones have been good sports. We even had Grandma and Grandpa watching from the truck.

Cole defending his goal! His level does not play with goalies. He knows that is Trey's favorite position and loves it! He always falls back to defend! He has a hard time when the other team scores! I guess he will learn.


Trey shines! He loves goalie, but is a GREAT forward! He loves the game and plays it every chance he gets.

Shaylee loves her team this year! She plays forward and does a GREAT job! Her first game she scored 2 of the 4 goals that gave them a victory.

A day of canning.......

Today I was a little crazy! I don't know what I was thinking, but I bottle 80 pints of chicken, and 62 #10 cans of various things. (flour, rice, fruit drink etc....) I don't think I will look at another piece of chicken for a long time!
