Things this child will do for money.......

Trey is motivated by cash! Shaylee was in charge of cleaning the bathroom and thought something had been flushed. She said she would pay Trey $1.00 to reach in and see if there was something in there. He got his hand stuck! Yuck!!! Poor kid was on his own! Lucky for him Shaylee had finished scrubbing the toilet.

Potty Training Nightmare!!!!!!!

I have been trying to potty train Kailin. Big problem she will only do it if it is her idea. On Monday I decided to bribe her. Yes, I said bribe! If she was dry when I checked her or she went in the potty she would get a potty treat. First thing she goes and all is looking well. She gets her treat and a sippie with apple juice. After about the 10th sippie of juice and potty treat I couldn't believe she was still dry and in the same panties. So I decided to check the bathroom to see if maybe she was going on her own. Oh, yes she was! I found 4 pull-ups in the bathroom. She had been going in putting on a pull-up going and then putting her panties back on so she could say she was dry and get a treat! Smart I know that part she gets from me.

So yesterday I put her in a pull-up and tell when there are no more pull-ups she has to wear panties. Last night we went to my mother-in-laws to watch the Biggest Loser (GO Blaine and Dane!) Kailin got in trouble and I made her sit in time out.(that she gets from her father) I noticed for the first time that she was in panties! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I took her in to go potty and she did it! Then later my mother-in-law said she smelled something. I checked Brynlee and she was in the clear! Then panic started to set in when I noticed that Kailin was standing by her! So I calmly asked "Kailin are you poopy?" She said "yes" like it was no big deal. Lucky for me I have an awesome mother-in-law and she just laughed. Probably remembering when it was my husband. I think I have given up. If there are any potty training miracle workers out there let me know. I might consider payment! (Come on Grandma you know you could use the cash)

My Week......From good to bad in 30 seconds!

This week started out so good! I decided to potty train Kailin (again) and we went all day no accidents. Then Tuesday morning my Grandpa Brown passed away. Yes, and again potty training is put on the back burner. I love my grandpa and will miss him so much.

This last year he has spent a lot of time at my parents and sisters homes and I in turn got to spend time with him and get to know him better. My little guy Cole did too! Later that day I found out he was to be buried in 24 hours. He was made a beautiful casket by his brother-in-law. It was not lined however. So on Tuesday night my sister, mom and I lined it. (ok mom did most of the work we were just extra hands). Wednesday was busy. My grandpa's burial was at 2:00pm and very nice.

Then we moved on to the PINEWOOD DERBY at 5:00pm which I just happen to be over. My oldest boy Trey raced for his second year. Okay maybe not raced, but the car was placed on the track. His car didn't finish. Same as last year. I feel awful! So after the clean up we went and got ice cream and came home to drown our sorrows. Yes, that means the diet also went out the window!
I however have wonderful friends that know that after a week like this I needed a break so we got together to sew TEEPEES it was so fun! We got three done yesterday and have some very happy kids over it! Thanks Kendra for letting us crash your house and using your camera to get these great pictures of you and Keri. It was a much needed break!

Thanks for the break! Since today starts funeral 3 in the last week for us I needed that!

My daughter the artist!

I go into my girls room to find this.....
She found her sisters nail polish and painted the walls. The sad thing is she was so proud of herself until she looked at me and you can see how unsure of herself she is now!
