McLaws Reunion 2008

Every 2 years my Dad's side of the family gets together for a reunion at Jacob's Lake. On the way home my brother-in-law wanted to go down to Cliff Dweller's. We thought it sounded fun. It was for the kids, but for the adults it was a hot bunch of rocks. I guess kids make anything worth it.

24th of JULY

We had such a good time today. We started with the parade and then on to the games and races at the park. After all that we ended up at the Johnson's for a BBQ and fireworks. It was a blast!

Shaylee the Actress

Shaylee was in the play the Music Man Jr.. She sang and danced and did a wonderful job. All her hard work finally paid off. Congrats!

To the top I say...

I always knew Trey would be my climber. He was 18 months and climbing the side of my bakers rack. Nothing was safe by putting it up high. Today we went with my sister Bridgette to the Washington Community Center and they have a rock wall. Trey jumped right on (after a 15 min. wait). After getting on we had a hard time getting him to leave and come swim with us. He loved it, and is good at it. He has informed me at the age of 8 that he is going to hike Mount Everest. Just so he can say he did. I love you Trey and I hope you always keep your goals high.

NEW BEDS!

The boys now have beds. We got our bishop to build us some bunk beds. They were his display model. I don't think I have ever seen anything more pretty ( I mean manly-they are for boys) in all my life. We had to wait for his free time which I am sure he has none. I thought Cole was one step away from kissing his feet. They were excited to come home from church so they could have quiet time in their new beds. Thanks Bishop for all your hard work.I had to show the knots that give it character.
On the top of the head board it has some sort of worming effect. It is so neat.

The beds. They are so solid they won't go anywhere. So if there is an earth quake and our house is in rubble. Dig for us in the boys room where we will hide. Those things will still be standing.

Dean Johnson Family Reunion

I know with a face like that you can't imagine him hurting a fly.
We went camping on Kolob for Shane's family reunion. I could take time and post a ton of pictures, or just tell a funny story. There were horny toads up on the mountain and of course the boys were all about catching them. Cole had one that had been handled by a ton of little hands and was dead. Marcia (Grandma Johnson) asked him if it was dead. He then threw it on the ground and it bounced. "See grandma it's not dead." The horny toad was so bloated that it really did bounce.
