Dancin' to Disney

Last night was the second dance festival that LaVerkin Elementary has done. I really missed this from when we lived in Hurricane. Now I feel like LaVerkin is the PERFECT place to live! The first grade did you have a friend in me off Toy Story. Cole was way excited to be able to dress like a cowboy.

The 5th grade did a song from Hercules. Trey was not that thrilled he had to dance with a girl. He did end up with a girl from our ward that is a cutie. Trey said it was ok with her as his partner because she wouldn't sit with all her weight on his knee. LOL

It was a great night! Thanks for all the hard work everyone that helped!

Annual Halloween Party

Every year we go to my moms house the Monday before Halloween for family home evening. My mom always has the funniest games.
Every year my mom does a prize box they have to reach their hand in to get a prize. Brynlee was the first this year. She wasn't quite sure since Grandma told her it was pig brains.
She was excited to see the bracelet not the brains hanging off of it. LOL
Even the older kids had a hard time. They had all figured out that it was only spaghetti, but just couldn't get over the feel. This is my nephew Kaleb.
We all went out side to bob for apples. Kailin loves this game.
This is my niece Phoebe. I hope I spelled that right.

After all the grandchildren line up their pumpkins and we light them. Since there are 30 something grandchildren their are a lot to light.
Brynlee was very proud of the one Aunt Bridgette helped her carve.
Thanks Mom for a fun night!

Copycat

Yes, I am a copycat. I blog stock people with great ideas then I copy them. I know this is a sickness. I just can't help it. For example: I copied Maridee Johnson. She got this wonderful jewelry organizer. What is a girl to do? I just couldn't resist.
Now do you see. Sorry Maridee, but I couldn't help myself. Thanks for the ideas!

The letter J

Today it was my turn to do preschool for Kailin. I had the letter J. Since Halloween is right around the corner we made Jack-o-lanterns. Emily had to use a spoon. She was so cute about getting her hand dirty.
Kailin had no problem. She thought it was slimy, but loved to touch it. LOL
Carly had no problem either.
Ava was the first one to dig in to the pumpkin. She is very shy and quiet. If you watch her close enough you can tell she is having as much fun in the slime as the rest of them.
Here are all the girls with the Jack-o-lanterns. Megan was not excited about the pumpkins at first so she just colored her picture. We also had the girls make jack-o-lantern jewelry.
I sent each girl home with homework. At this age they get excited about homework. They had to take their jack-o-lanterns home and light them on their porch. This is Kailin doing hers.
I am having so much fun doing preschool. I can't wait until Thursday. See you girls then.

Spooktacular Party

We have some really fun friends! We all got together to have an adult Halloween party. I have been hesitant to post this. I don't want it to spoil costumes for anyone. I was going to wait until Shane reminded me I told everyone at the party I would post it. Some of the food we had was awesome. I loved these cake balls.
These are oreo suckers.
These are deviled eggs. We also had wonderful egg rolls that I get to learn how to make. I can't wait!
Some of the costumes! Mitch and Daniels Stackhouse. (for those who don't know-He is the bishop)
Pam and Steve Lisonbee.
Shane and I. I can't believe I got Shane to dress up! Yay!
Kevin and Paulette Farnsworth.
Golden and Kendra Johnson
Colony and Joey Perry.
We played a whole bunch of fun games. One was a picture scavenger hunt. We had to get a vampire biting someone. Colony was the only vampire we knew. So Pam wrestled her to the ground inside Farmer's Market trying to get her to bite her neck. I had no idea Pam was so competitive!
They had us go into public of course! This is my team the winning team no less!
We had to go to the cemetery to find one of our teams first names on a gravestone.
After that we headed back and voted on best costume. Shane won by 1 vote! The prize was a Dora fruit snack. He did look good!
Thanks Colony and Kendra for all your hard work. It was such a fun party! Sorry we missed a few of you maybe next time!

This is what happens

This is what happens when your thirteen year-old leaves her razor in the shower, and then you send your seven year-old son for a shower after her. Yes, he could only think to shave his eyebrow off with it. AAAAHHHHH!
This is what happens when your 13 year-old tells you the day before her concert that she can only wear black and white, and pay day isn't until the day after the concert. Yes, I made her a skirt to wear the day of. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!
Shaylee singing (I missed every concert last year because of scouts. I am so glad I get to go this year.)
This is what happens when you are friends with the person doing preschool, and they want to do horses for the letter Hh. Yes, you get to go help.
All the kids watching while she tells them about the horse.
Ava on the horse. You could tell she really wanted to, but didn't want to be the first on.
Carly was the first to jump up. She was so cute!
Kailin was a brave chicken. She would actually walk up to her and pet her, but that was it. Two other girls wouldn't even pet the horse.
This is what happens when you are little and have to go everywhere mom does. Yes, that means she got to go to preschool too.
Colony, Reba (the horse) and Dana.
This means it has been a busy week! LOL
